Illustration Friday-Multiple

The above image IS NOT MY ENTRY. Click on the image to see my animated entry for IF's "multiple" topic. Multiple views... It cycles over at the end, after about 5 seconds.

This is an animated GIF. Want to try something grander later, like something coming out of the box, but due to limited time, I wanted to get this done, and posted!!! I know the last frame is a bit anti-climatic, which I hope to rectify, but that's all I had time for. This piece took me about 4-5 hours of totally cranking! The line work that I do takes time.

Been super busy lately! Which is great. Seeing a lot whales and dolphins too in my free time as a new volunteer naturalist for Channel Island National Park and Marine Sanctuary. Someday soon whales and dolphins may be creeping into my work. Hmm...

*****Edit: Posted a new, more exciting version in place of the boring first one*****

That's a great idea, but I have to admit... I did say 'oh' at the end, being that there was no present in the box! What a rip! That's OK, I'll let you off because it's super cool anyway AND you put in 5 hours AND whales and dolphins must be more exciting than sitting behind a computer. ;-)

its very cool and a great hand. We'll let you off with nothing popping from the box, probably would have taken another 5 hours!

Thanks for visiting and your kind words!

Great piece. Dig the animation. I'd like to dip my toe in the motion water someday...

The line is from Meet the Parents. It's when Owen Wilson's character states that he salvaged wood found in an old seaman's chapel in Nantucket as they walked through his house...

This is great, made me think of Pandora's box.
These sorts of animation are a really nice way of doing something a bit different within the sphere of illustration... and this is really nice work.

I'm looking forward to seeing the sea-life stuff too.

As always Scott, I really appreciate the kind comments you left on my blog, encouragement from talented people is the best sort of motivation.
