Illustration Friday-Emergency 2

I slightly revised my first "emergency" illustration and made a second one to go with it.

The object in my hand is roll of duct tape, by the way.

What do you think???

Also, click on my profile, and then find my photoblog for some pictures of Orcas and Humpbacks from my Alaskan cruise. There are some photos of Humpbacks doing "bubble net feeding", which was incredible to see firsthand.

Yes, I REALLY love the style, too. I'm not sure what the ring is about, though. I'm checking my brain again and...no. It's not something I understand. Can't help it if I look foolish for saying that but I'd like to know! : )

I had no trouble recognizing the duct tape, though it took me a few seconds to realize that the second illustration showed prayer. Great pair - clever and well done.

I actually thought it was a steel ring or something, but I think the image looks great, I like the weathered look to it!

Oh dear, I knew that was a roll of duct tape the moment I saw it, you are of the same mould as my man... I swear we used to have duct tape on everything!
I love your hands, they are very expressive.

I really like the style of these illustrations (as always, heh) and it's good to see new IF entries!

I had completely forgot about IF until I read the email about your comment on my blog! This is mainly due to not having the time after work to do anything I think. I don't believe I'll be able to post anything in the near future either, as there are holidays and uni preparations to be had!

I shall, however check back here for your works and hopefully gain some kind of artistic inspiration.

Also, that's alot of boyscouts... you must be talented in the art of cooking aswell as the art of illustration!

Duct tape is certainly good stuff! Nice take on Emergency. I haven't seen the bubble net feeding, but just the idea is fascinating and an ingenious way to get fed. Sounds like a good trip! Thanks for the comment.

I like the first version the best, and I love the texture of the background and the colours.

We call duct tape 'gaffer' tape in the UK - it's fab stuff.

I really like the raw style you have going on with these. It's very fitting with the manly duct tape. I love that they sell clear dust tape now--very versatile!

Ha!I recognized the duct tape str8 away (being in the exhibits field, I've an intimate bond with more than one roll(shameless, I know).

Love the style and design and you're muted color pallet. Inventive solution.
