Illustration Friday-Emergency 2
I slightly revised my first "emergency" illustration and made a second one to go with it.
The object in my hand is roll of duct tape, by the way.
What do you think???
Also, click on my profile, and then find my photoblog for some pictures of Orcas and Humpbacks from my Alaskan cruise. There are some photos of Humpbacks doing "bubble net feeding", which was incredible to see firsthand.

I like them both. I like them together, I like them individually. Love the style.

Glad to see you back on IF , very original take on the subject, I like the colorcombination a lot too.
Professional job! Like it a lot!
Well done Scott! Your stuff just keeps improving.
Yes, I REALLY love the style, too. I'm not sure what the ring is about, though. I'm checking my brain again and...no. It's not something I understand. Can't help it if I look foolish for saying that but I'd like to know! : )
Nice style Scott. I haven't been around much either.
I just love your style, as usual. Both are great!
Wonderfully said Scott - and beautifully rendered! Both illustrations are just terrific - I can relate to both, and wouldn't be able to face a day without them :o) Thanks for the great post and thanks for stopping by my blog too.
V cool concept!
i love both of them! unique and great idea.

neat idea, scott! very nice combination between the style, the letters and the color. hey, and thx for visiting! :)
I had no trouble recognizing the duct tape, though it took me a few seconds to realize that the second illustration showed prayer. Great pair - clever and well done.
neat concept! i love it!
I actually thought it was a steel ring or something, but I think the image looks great, I like the weathered look to it!
Oh dear, I knew that was a roll of duct tape the moment I saw it, you are of the same mould as my man... I swear we used to have duct tape on everything!
I love your hands, they are very expressive.
Interesting work, clean and beautiful.
Thanks for the visit. Hope you come back.
The type and poster approach work for me! As does the duct tape holding my headphones together.
thanks for visiting me too.
excellent I agree-duct tape is fab stuff!especially for nickel allergy sufferers and their pesky jean buttons!!! I cover the back of it with duct tape!
I thought it was duct tape and now it really makes sense. I know some people use it for many things! Very nice illo. I love your use of type and colors.
Great set of posters! I think these would sell!
Paula... surely you know about Duct tape!
I really like the style of these illustrations (as always, heh) and it's good to see new IF entries!
I had completely forgot about IF until I read the email about your comment on my blog! This is mainly due to not having the time after work to do anything I think. I don't believe I'll be able to post anything in the near future either, as there are holidays and uni preparations to be had!
I shall, however check back here for your works and hopefully gain some kind of artistic inspiration.
Also, that's alot of boyscouts... you must be talented in the art of cooking aswell as the art of illustration!
I like the illos and loved looking at your trip photos:)
Hey you have always great ideas!!! How do you do that?!!?? :p
Thanks visit me ;)
I really love the way you produced these! Beautiful contrast of slick and grunge!
Awesome. Great message.
i really love the look of this Scott, it's super cool! Love the torn bag, the colours and the printed look of it. The graphics are excellent! Very, very cool!
Duct tape is certainly good stuff! Nice take on Emergency. I haven't seen the bubble net feeding, but just the idea is fascinating and an ingenious way to get fed. Sounds like a good trip! Thanks for the comment.
I like the first version the best, and I love the texture of the background and the colours.
We call duct tape 'gaffer' tape in the UK - it's fab stuff.
Really cool idea to use a painted grocery bag as background - nice rough feel. Wonderful depiction of hands! Very well done.
Thanks for stopping by at my PotatoMammaDesign creative blog!
Astrid

-thanks 4 passing by my blog ;)
I really like the raw style you have going on with these. It's very fitting with the manly duct tape. I love that they sell clear dust tape now--very versatile!
Ah, duct tape and a hammer, the only tools you'll ever need. Thumbs are helpful too. Great subtle colors. And thanks for all the comments!
I have to agree with jay (first comment). Great together - great separate.
Wow...Scottt....is it really you??!! Missed you, glad to see you back on IF, cool illo!!!
very nice! clear idea and great style. i like the choice of type and usage of textures. well done!
Ha!I recognized the duct tape str8 away (being in the exhibits field, I've an intimate bond with more than one roll(shameless, I know).
Love the style and design and you're muted color pallet. Inventive solution.
Too funny about the duct tape...they say you can use it in practically any emergency so it's perfect for the theme!
LOL. You really can use Duct tape for anything. Great job.
WONDERFUL work, and great to see you active here again
