Illustration Friday-Homage

Click images for a larger view.

This is my entry for IF's "homage" topic. Will probably do another variation, but wanted to get this done and up on Friday!

Edit: Added the second image with the Campbell's soup can label...

Had the most amazing trip to the Baja in Mexico. You WON'T BELIEVE my photos! You must look. Whale hugs. I've only got time to post a few photos there for now. Much more to come soon.

Just getting over being sick, got lots more ideas for homage... Fortunately, got sick after my trip!

Scott

Clever stuff - your work always makes me think and that is a very powerful skill. Nice mix of your style with Warhol's... like the muted palette too.

Hope you're feeling better - I've mised your posts!

Good for you! I always get sick ON my trips... I like the way you've kept the colours muted to match your style instead of opting for Warhol-in-your-faceness.

hey Scott! Really like your hand series and your 'Multiple' post is really cool :)

For Homage, I really like that you've added the lines on the label to show that it has been pasted on the can. Really good!

hey scott. this is really good. and you know i am a fan of Andy. remember the portrait of him i did with all the stippling? crazy. i almost posted it again for HOMAGE. my h.s. art teacher made an arm band of soup labels as a tribute to him the day he died.

anyway, love your illustration. ah! and you STILL incorporated hands. you are amazing!
