Hibernate

My entry for Illustration Friday's "Hibernate". This is a stonefly imitation, of the larval stage of the insect, sort of a hibernation. The stonefly larva lives underwater in a stream before climbing out and sprouting it's wings. Flyfishermen try flies to imitate insects that trout like to eat in hopes of catching fish.

My usual...draw the lines and shapes in Freehand, paint some textures, merge in Photoshop.
