Illustration Friday-Visitors

This is my entry for IF's "visitors" topic. Photographed my hand, painted a cracked paint texture, drew all the shapes in Freehand, and combined everything in Photoshop! Voila! I will be doing a companion piece to go along with it, in a day or two.
Here's to many happy visitors!

Nice perspective. I love the style of the hand! Those two colors look great together.
(The wreath looks much more photo-like than the hand though. I think it needs some outline work like the hand.)
That wood texture showing through is very "now".
Come in! Great idea!
great composition!!
I'm loving this color palette you are using lately and the way you make it look like a print. clever and great idea and it would make a hip holiday card!!!
very cool!
Cool concept!
I like it! There is a real feeling of mystery showing only the hand!
Great illustration, and original take on the subject.. nice graphic feel, and use of textures..
Thanks for stopping by the blog.
I have to HAND it to you, Scott....this is very effective.
beautiful hand!i like the color of the door!
oh I like this one a lot. very evocative.
Hey Scott, I like it now that I get it, at first I didn't realize the person was knocking. Maybe a little motion blur, also some depth blur on the door might be cool, just some thoughts, keep up the great work!
nah, just ignore me, it's fine the way it is...
I like this. I agree with valgalart in that this would make a cool card.
I really love that blue doo color. I could tell the hand was knocking right away.
nice job on this one. perfect for the topic!
Nice Scott. Thanks for all the encouragement you always are to me.
Nice work! The texture on the door is really pleasing!
And thanks for the positive comments on my IF: Visitors entry. It's always good to get that kind of feedback from other artists!
