Illustration Friday-Hats
Click image for a larger view. This is my entry...created specifically for the challenge. These portobello mushrooms look like big hats! And sage is perfect with mushrooms. I want to add more food illustration to my portfolio.
I drew the lines, painstakingly in Freehand, painted textures, and combined in Photoshop.
***** Also, I completely redesigned my web site, to be very illustration focused. Every page has a new illustration created for that page. Please check it out and let me know what you think! Likes, dislikes and especially anything that doesn't seem to work right. Go to scottcuzzo.com...

Also see pics from the Open Gallery opening. I took pics of some of the art on the walls. Maybe you'll see your piece.
Thanks for your votes and your kind comments on being chosen!!!
KInd regards to all!

I really got a rush off your shrooms! Your new website looks terrific!
nice lookin portobellos
Hi Scott, your web site looks great!
I gots to learn me how to make me one of dem sometimes soon...
Oh, you might want to consider naming your galleries with more specificity than just gallery 1-2-3, so people know what they'll be clicking on, just a thought...
Other than that small (very small) detail I thought it looks superb and I'm very jealous.
Take care!
I like these. The texture and color are inviting. I too, think you need to include more food in your portfolio.
These are 'Yummy!'
they look yummy! if i had them on my head i imagine i would take a few bites as well!
Nice idea for hats. They turned out really nice. I like how you take the vector art and give it texture; That is something I would like to learn how to do better.
I checked out your site and it looks cool. The only negative comment I would make would be about the galleries: I prefer to see thumbnails rather that having to scroll through everything. Maybe it just my preference. Everything else looked and worked awesome.
Thanks for stoping by my blog and offering an encouraging comment.
Great work as usual!
Dig the new site...Best of luck!
Great take on the theme! Nice texture!
Great shrooms. I love your style scott!
Hey, hey! Your new website is superb! I really like all the textures you added. Good code too. You knew I would look... :)
Wow, so simply beautiful. And delicious...sage and portobello! You got my mouth watering.
I love, LOve, your idea here, and the artwork is super Scott!
Love the 'shrooms, Scott. Site looks great, too. Only one comment I can make... Maybe there should be a price for the art. When I click the buy button, it takes me immediately to the page where I enter all my credit card info, and I still don't know how much I'm paying... unless I missed something... which is quite possible.
Beautiful 'bellas, Scott! I love your creativity!
Also, I love your website makeover. Looks great!
This peice was well worth the time you spent Scott! It looks beautiful! Your site is perfection to me! Very nice! and so happy to see you had a great time at the show and sorry for missing it and you!
Very well done! Loved the mushroom "caps", they looked well...good enough to eat! As to your site...2 thumbs up!
that's a good idea! the upper part of a mushroom is called "cappello" in Italian, which means "hat"...
tnx for your comment...you site (and work) is quite good
great idea! and love you website too :)thanks for your comment :)
Lovely!!! This's great Scott!!!
A very piece. I love the delicate feel of this. I smiled at the idea of hat mushrooms. Way to go with your website redesign!
well done Scott
your web site looks very nice.
:-)
There is poetry in this illustration. You have taken a mushroom, transformed it into a hat thereby making it all the more a mushroom. Simply lovely.
I love your art. It is simple and clean and also rich with imagination.
I'm sorry I'm so late coming to your blog, but I'll be back.
Thank you for sharing.
