Little boxes like this usually hold some special trinket. Very nice. I like the textures in your background, too.

Sometimes the best things come in small packages - glad you had an entry this week Scott - this is a great piece - you've really captured the sense of mystery and anticipation one has when opening a box - simple but powerful imagery! And the hand work, and textures - wonderful! Love it!

woah congrats! i wasnt able to join in 'open' and neither was able to vote coz of my hectic sked.. but was waiting for the results! Glad to know you were included.. this is a great illo.. simple and yet difficult to do.. ive always had troubles drawing a hand. (hehe)
