Illustration Friday-Crave

Click image for a larger view.

Lately I've been craving eggplant a lot! I think the background needs a bit more something, but wanted to get this done tonight. A matching avocado illustration is coming soon.

Have a wafflemaker? Try my patented recipe...

Slice raw eggplant into half inch rounds. Dip in beaten egg. Roll in parmesean cheese. Place into a well-oiled wafflemaker and close. No need to press down on the lid, it will settle down as the eggplant cooks. Remove when cheese is crispy and eggplant is tender. Even if you think you don't like eggplant...this is wickedly delicious and looks super cool. Feel free to add seasonings like herbs to the parm. Or sprinkle the eggplant with garlic powder first.

It's great that your still doing this hand series. The compositions are fantastic, and the simplicity and limited visual vocabulary really makes you get the concept across strongly. Nice purple too.

A great illustration and a delicious sounding recipe (I adore eggplant, especially grilled with a little olive oil and herbs de Provence)!
